About Global Village '09
Global Village is a multicultural awareness event held annually by AIESEC. We are working on 1.) Advertising International Experience; 2.) Raising awareness of Culture Shock and 3.) Promoting AIESEC.
1.) Advertising international experience: Through the "Tom and Jane" presentation stories, international students will present their country in an interesting form. Students will be encouraged to explore different culture values, and the interconnectivity of the countries of the world. Information about traineeships by AIESEC will be provided and anyone interested will be encouraged to take traineeships.
2.) Raising awareness of culture shock: By initiating Global Village, foreign students in Tomas Bata University will network with each other, express their opinions about studying in TBU in Zlin. After "Tom and Jane", a presentation "Culture Shock" will be delivered. Foreign students will be encouraged to overcome the culture shock by immerse into Czech culture more while retaining their identity.
3.) Promoting AIESEC: Both the visitors and the participants will be informed that the project is initiated by AIESEC. Additional information about AIESEC will be provided and anyone interested will be encouraged to join AIESEC.
